Invoice as a private individual without your own company?

Short answer

Yes, you can invoice as a private individual. Through umbrella employment you become temporarily employed by Accly Frilans, which sends the invoice in its own name, accounts for the VAT and pays your tax. You get the payment as a net salary in your account and avoid bookkeeping, tax returns and F-tax registration.

The security of being employed

Umbrella employment gives you many of the benefits of regular employment without having to start your own company.

Income that builds your SGI

Your payment counts as employment income, which strengthens your sickness-benefit qualifying income (SGI).

Full pension contributions

The employer contributions include pension payments, just like in regular employment.

Collective-agreement-style terms

You get secure, employment-like terms because Accly Frilans is your employer.

We handle reminders

No need to chase clients. We send payment reminders and can help with debt collection if needed.

When isn't it the right fit?

If you have a regular, high turnover, employ staff or want to deduct large investments, a limited company of your own may be more advantageous. But for most people freelancing on the side, testing an idea, or needing to send the occasional invoice, umbrella employment is the simplest and safest way to invoice.
